Blandteknik/mixed media kan handla om kombinationer av akryl, kol, pastell, Sakura marker, blyerts m m. Men här finns också rent oljemåleri även om just oljemåleri numera är en mycket liten del av teknikerna. Det finns stilvariationer, såväl föreställande element som rent abstrakt. Uttrycken har ändå koppling till ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv på ett eller annat sätt.
